PSP Doom - We're not certain if you've heard about this one already before but a couple of the many projects of homebrew developer kgsws are PSP Doom and PSP Heretic.
It is needless to say that these are PlayStation Portable adaptations of the FPS classics Doom and Heretic.
Currently, PSP Doom is at version 0.6 while PSP Heretic is at v0.7. kgsws mentioned , and we agree, that the best feature these build have to offer is the multiplayer ad hoc for two players.
The coder also added a four player support but that hasn't been tested as of yet.
- Sound Volume: its value is controlled by distance of its source.
- Puff Bug (engine bug): puff does not appear when projectile (bullet, not rocket etc) hits two-sided wall under sky.
- Weapon selecting: old weapons selecting was making multiplayer out of sync (and heretic does not have any switcher)
- Sky colormap (engine bug?): when in GOD mode (no cheat) everything except sky was in different color

Nuke the Whales! Nuke the Whales!
While hunting whales on the open seas isn't an ecologically accepted practice, blasting them using nuclear warheads on the virtual handheld seems safe enough. At least this was the premise developer Mr. X 256 had for the latest homebrew game on the PlayStation Portable
Transform v0.1 Transform v0.1
Homebrew games made in tribute of a well-established franchise have always been an amusing commodity in the community. Developer Jack was able to create a new one based on the recent Transformers movie by Michael Bay.
Invaders 1.1 Invaders 1.1
PSP Homebrew Developer Netaro has released an update to his Galaga-esque shooter, Invaders. Invaders v1.1 has some new features including powerups, random backgrounds and triple bullets.
It also has some bugs that haven't been resolved as of yet. The source code is also available in the archive download. Here's the changelog for Invaders v1
Hokuto no Ken Hokuto no Ken
dm79 has released a demo of the fighting game Hokuto no Ken for the PSP. This is a Lua game that comes packed with the Lua Player, so all you need to do is copy the two folders within the file to your PSPGAME folder on your memstick. There is only one fighting player available at the moment but hopefully more will be added in later versions
CS Combined Assault Do you guys remember the PSP developer who goes by the monicker Stealth Kill? If you do, then you'll probably remember CS Combined Assault - the author's PSP homebrew adaptation of Valve's Counter-Strike FPS game for the PC
I remember having Duck Hunt when I was younger on my Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). But I didn't have a light gun, which was like the saddest thing ever. Anyway, I brought the topic up because one coder over at French site XtreamLua just revived the game the homebrew way.
Developer jojodu0010's duck-hunt v0
Battle Fantasy The new version of the mini - Fighting with the characters from the anime - series Naruto and Dragon Ball
Killzone: Liberation Grenade His Face Killzone: Liberation Grenade His Face
It's arguably the game's coolest mode, especially now that Sony has announced that it supports network functionality. But even without it, it's still insanely fun. You choose from a handful of maps, including the post-apocalyptic wastelands seen in the demo
Apollonia Apollonia- Courtesy of a 5 day bug fix period for all entrants to the Dashhacks Homebrew Idol 2 comp, we have made some code optimisations and re-released.
We're pleased to say though, that this is the fastest/smoothest the game has ever run. Sure, when the action gets insance, the FPS suffers a little, but it is definitely an improvement over prior releases
Mobile Assault Mobile Assault
Team Codetactics has updated the classic Mobile Assault for PSP to version 1.8.1.A See all the details below
