PSP Homebrew: Breakout 2.0 By Jairo David

Looking for a little classic arcade love on PSP? Check out A Jairo David's updated Breakout port. New levels, new sounds, new options!

We've all played Breakout before, so I'll try not to belabor the point. The object of the game is to use you paddle to direct your floating ball towards the blocks located in each level. This has been a portable mainstay for years now, but that hasn't stopped A Jairo David from continuing development on his own version. As you'll see from the changelog below, this update includes more levels, added sound effects, new menus, and some additional choices for record keeping. English speakers should know that this is a Spanish language homebrew. However, the familiar nature of Breakout shouldn't leave you too in the dark!

Improvements:

  • Added 15 new levels.
  • Fix various bugs.
  • They have added a few sound effects.
  • Created a section of options.
  • Possibility to enable / disable the music.
  • Added a record reset feature.
  • Help has been created for the game.
  • Created Records for each section.
  • Added background music (surround).
  • Cleaning the code.

Lua Stick Avalanche  Stick avalanche is a game in which you have to dodge the falling spikes. Everytime you dodge a spike your score goes up by one, and the speed of the fallign spikes increases by .2. It's relatively easy at first, but soon gets hard as the speed increases! This game was written in Lua and requres Lua Player to run

Christmas DropOff We know some of you guys have just gotten your brand spanking new PSPs as gifts so here's a good homebrew game to start you off courtesy of rich200313 -- Christmas DropOff. rich200313 says that he's made a few games in the past but Christmas DropOff is the first one that he's sharing with the rest of the homebrew community so guys, be nice
Retro RocksRetro Rocks
Retro Rocks- is not a clone of anything. It is a superb game on its own. MathFacts has done an excellent job in making us jump in our seats while we play this game. What really made this game stand out was the "hyperspace" feature

Who is on Fire? (CFW OE)  The moment we found the homebrew game Who is on Fire?, we had to try it immediately. In this game, players take on the role of a fireman and the objective is to save as many penguins as possible from a burning establishment. Who is on Fire? was created by three developers, namely section, Yan2Yan, and Genevois, over at XtreamLua.com
Nikwi Deluxe v1.0Nikwi Deluxe v1.0
Nikwi Deluxe v1.0 PSP homebrew developer Deniska has released a new version of Nikwi. If you're not familiar with the game, it's a cute and quirky platformer, and was deniska's official entry in the Neoflash Spring Compo 2008. In the homebrew game, you play a 9-year-old boy named Nikwi and guide him in a world of candies (told you it was quirky)

Mario AdventureMario Adventure
Mario Adventure Somehow, it feels a bit weird for Mario to be carrying an HP status display, but we can dig it. DON released an RPG-styled game called Mario Adventure for PSPs, and it's a quirky little thing, mostly because we keep imagining Mario as a Final Fantasy character as a result. Mario Adventure v0
