Valk has released an alpha version of his homebrew game for the PSP, PSPace. PSPace is a port of the 2d space shooter game for the PC, 'Subspace'. Supspace was a freeware PC game in the space shooter genre, and features a top-dwon view. The original supspace was a Massively Multiplayer Online game (MMO), so could we see Internet play in future versions? Watch this space. Here's what Valk said:
"This is an alpha of a project that I have been toying around with for a few months. It doesn't have much functionality but I would like some feedback as far as to continue work on it. It's the beginnings of a clone of Subspace, a game that has been around for more than 10 years for the pc. Either way, any feedback would be greatly appreciated."
This is just an alpha, and currently there are no objectives or missions, but you can explore the map and get used to the controls. It's just a small taster of what's to come!

Coder Silverfox just upgraded homebrew game LeeSP to v2.2. To those who missed it, this is actually a 2D fghiting game featuring Naruto characters. The first version was actually an entrant to the recent PSP-Hacks' Homebrew Competition and only features Rock Lee and Gaara.

Sonicadvance1 from our forum has released Project 2 v2. This is a tron clone game in a top-down view. It has a single player mode and a V.S. mode. In the single player mode, you will play against an AI opponent, while in the V.S. mode, the 2 human players should hold both ends of the PSP and use the buttons on the 2 sides to control

French homebrew developer xevious78 of Team Vortex has just released a new game called Shoot the Warriors. It is currently on version 0.2 and is only working with the PlayStation Portable Fat.
In a nut shell, Shoot the Warriors is a, well, a shooting game with the objective of gunning down objects that appear on the screen

A bunch of new WADs are available for Doom for the PSP, courtesy of michalt441. There are four mods available: Duke Nukem, Quake 4 and Quake 2, and Fistful of Dollars (based on the movie of the same name, starring Clint Eastwood).
Michalt441 has personally tested all these games and remarks that they work, although some of them crash sometimes

Thanks to a little assistance from Fanjita on our forums, smayds has finally worked out what ails him and his wonderful homebrew game can now be run on PSP's with 2.0 Firmware! Here are the complete install instructions:
Copy the 'vector' and 'vector%' folders to the GAME folder in the PSP folder of your memory stick. Play.

Kurok Kurok - MDave's dropped by the forums earlier and he's brought along with him v0.4 of his homebrew game Kurok. It's packing a lot of new stuff, and he says that hopefully we'll see online servers now too. Cool, huh?
